I was setting up this blog and came across some of these plugins which I’ve used for the website. Decided to share it out with you guys. These are only some of the plugins, click here for more.
If you’re not familiar with wordpress, click on this wordpress.org. Its a blogging software, which I think is the easiest to use and familiarize with. Enjoy.
- Adsense-Deluxe - Helps integrate Google Adsense advertisements into your website (including into individual posts). Also supports Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN).
- Akismet - This tool checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if its spam or not. Its the best anti-spamming plugin for WordPress. Comes with the lastest version of Wordpress.
- flickrRSS - Integrate the photos from a flickr rss feed into your site. Show flickr photos on your website.
- Fuzzy recent posts - Displays the most recently posted entries on your web site.
- Ultimate Tagging Warrior - This is the best tag system for Wordpress. You can use categories and tag system on one website.
- WP-Database Backup - Backs up your blog.
- WYSIWYG Plugin - Creates an advanced version of your Write/Edit post screen.

Welcome to your new blog. Unfortunately, the link you recommend for WordPress Plugins is not a good one. Try the WordPress Plugins Directory or WP-Plugins.net for the most extensive listing of WordPress Plugins.
WordPress is fantastic and easy to work with, and it has a ton of great Plugins which extend it’s options to allow you to customize a lot of features.
So blog well, don’t copy the work of others, and play nice and have a great time blogging!

I agree that there are much better plugins. Those that I’m using right now are the basic ones. Will try out more of the plugins and share them soon.
