Lighting is the key of success for macro photography. If the lighting too dim you might surfer from slow shutter speed whereas under the bright sun light, you will get hash and ugly shadow on your object.

One of the cheapest and easiest method to reduce hash shadow is use the white card / board as a reflector.

See through the view finder carefully while adjusting the reflector to reflect some sun light into the shadow area.

With reflector, the shadow area been filled by nature light.

While surfing the site, I came across some nice fonts that is free for download. I’ve preselected a few of the nice fonts to share it out with you guys. They’re a selection of serif and san serif typefaces. Do drop by my website often as I will gather more fonts for the monthly downloads.

Legendum
Legendum is a typeface not unlike MS’s Verdana. It has been made for optimal screen readibility. It is anti-aliased on Windows as well. It now contains all normal Latin characters as well as all Greek characters, plus punctuation. All are instructed. I use this permanently on my desktop, and have found it extremely nice to look at for longer stretches of time.

Garogier
Garogier is a typeface not unlike Garamond (hence the name). It will have optical size through its instructions (i.e. at low sizes, also when it is used on a high-resolution device such as a printer, the characters are changed slightly to increase readablity). This is supported by Windows 98 and up (this includes 2000 and XP). Freetype does not support it (yet).
