Here are more collections of best blog designs for the month of October. Some of these designs are free for use. Mainly, they’re attractive because they use small details to decorate the site, use colorful header and they’re structured properly for the ease of reading. In my opinion, proper structure is very important to present the contents of your blog to the viewers.

Click on screen shots to get to the sites. Let me know if I’ve missed out any good design. Let me know in the comments!

Wondering where to get a web service that consists of calendar, to-do lists, notes, files and image storage? Backpack is the one. What I like about this site is their feature of calendar and reminders that can be sent via email or to your cell phone at predefined times. You also can tag pages so that its easier to find or group those related pages together.

With backpack, you can keep track of things to do and places to see on your next vacation, plan a home improvement project, organize a wedding, keep track of houses you’re considering buying, gather information for a research project, and plenty more. See examples of how you can use Backpack.

Another thing that I like about Backpack is that you can share your pages with your friends or colleagues. All you need to do is to click the “Sharing” link on any Backpack page, enter someone’s email address. An email will be sent to them and then they can view the page too. This is the simplest way of collaboration.

Some of you might having problem to organize and arrange your photo by date in Microsoft Windows. When you open up My Pictures folder, you have no idea what you took this series of photos. Today I would like to share with you how to arrange your photo folders in perfectly chronological order.

I use the following convention for naming folder on my PC:

YYYY-MM-DDD - Short Description of your series.

Examples:

2007-10-11 - Company Dinner @ TGI Fridays

2007-10-13 - Hari Raya Open House

By using this naming convention for your folder, you can easily sort your album with chronological order.
